SubLater — Terms of Use

Provider. SubLater is operated by Cantok Studio (캔톡스튜디오), a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea. Contact: mlbb803@gmail.com.

  1. What SubLater is. SubLater is a browser extension that changes how subtitles are displayed (delay, on-demand reveal, dual language, sentence navigation, dictation practice) for language-listening practice, locally in your browser. It does not provide, host, download, or redistribute any video or subtitle content, and it does not circumvent digital rights management, paywalls, or geographic restrictions. It only adjusts the display timing of subtitle tracks that the platform's own player has already delivered to your browser.
  2. Your own subscriptions are required. SubLater does not provide any video or subtitle content. To use it on Netflix, Coupang Play, Disney+, or Viki, you need your own valid subscription to those services.
  3. Independent product. SubLater is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Netflix, Coupang Play, Disney+, YouTube, or Viki. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
  4. Personal use. SubLater re-displays subtitles for your personal viewing only. Lines you choose to star, and lines the app auto-collects for review, are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device and are never transmitted to us or any third party; you can view, export to a file, and delete them at any time on the review page. You agree not to use SubLater to extract or redistribute content.
  5. Compatibility. Streaming services may change their websites at any time, which can temporarily break features until we update. We aim to restore functionality quickly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
  6. Subscription & billing. Paid plans are sold through our authorized payment provider, which acts as merchant of record and appears on your bank statement. Billing, cancellation, and taxes follow the checkout terms shown at purchase. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.
  7. Free tier. After the trial period ends, SubLater does not lock you out. Core features remain available at no cost, with daily limits on some features as described on our pricing page.
  8. Disclaimer. SubLater is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the extension.
  9. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

  1. 서비스 내용. SubLater는 자막 표시 방식(지연·직접 공개·이중 자막·문장 이동·받아쓰기)을 브라우저 안에서 바꿔 리스닝 학습을 돕는 확장프로그램입니다. 영상·자막 콘텐츠를 제공·저장·다운로드·재배포하지 않으며, 기술적 보호조치(DRM)·유료장벽·지역제한을 우회하지 않습니다. 플랫폼의 자체 플레이어가 이미 사용자 브라우저로 전달한 자막의 표시 타이밍만 조정합니다.
  2. 각 서비스 구독 필요. SubLater는 영상·자막 콘텐츠를 제공하지 않습니다. 넷플릭스·쿠팡플레이·디즈니+에서 사용하려면 해당 서비스의 유효한 본인 구독이 필요합니다.
  3. 독립 제품. SubLater는 넷플릭스·쿠팡플레이·디즈니+·유튜브·Viki와 제휴·보증·후원 관계가 없는 독립 제품입니다. 각 상표는 해당 소유자의 자산입니다.
  4. 개인 시청 용도. SubLater는 사용자 본인의 시청 화면에서만 자막을 다시 표시합니다. 사용자가 별표한 문장과 복습용으로 자동 수집된 문장은 사용자 기기의 브라우저 로컬 저장소에만 보관되며 저희나 제3자에게 전송되지 않습니다. 복습 페이지에서 언제든 확인·파일 내보내기·삭제할 수 있습니다. 사용자는 콘텐츠 추출·재배포 목적으로 사용하지 않는 데 동의합니다.
  5. 호환성. 스트리밍 서비스의 사이트 개편으로 기능이 일시적으로 중단될 수 있습니다. 신속한 복구를 지향하지만 무중단을 보장하지는 않습니다.
  6. 구독·청구. 유료 플랜은 저희가 지정한 결제 대행사를 통해 판매되며, 해당 대행사가 판매자(merchant of record)로서 카드 명세서에 표기됩니다. 청구·해지·세금은 구매 시 안내된 조건을 따릅니다. 언제든 해지할 수 있고 결제된 기간이 끝날 때까지 이용 가능합니다. 환불정책을 참고하세요.
  7. 무료 티어. 체험 기간이 끝나도 앱이 잠기지 않습니다. 핵심 기능은 계속 무료로 제공되며, 일부 기능에는 가격 페이지에 안내된 하루 사용 한도가 적용됩니다.
  8. 면책. SubLater는 "있는 그대로" 제공되며, 법이 허용하는 최대 범위에서 사용으로 인한 간접 손해에 책임지지 않습니다.
  9. 준거법. 본 약관은 대한민국 법률을 준거법으로 합니다.
